mommy notes

This section more than likely isn't for anybody else but plain ol me. I have wanted a section to be able to put down the small details of every day life raising my kiddos. It's those day to day things that are said or done that we so quickly forget and I really want to capture them and hold them and not let them go. So from here on out this is my "space" to not let these moments pass me by...

  • 3/20/12. London walked into my bedroom in the middle of the night panicked saying, "Mom.. Mom... My lamp ran out of batteries and won't work now." Come to find out Jake had taken the plug out. She thinks if something doesn't work it is because it is out of batteries. So cute!
  • 8/22/11. London has really been concerned about her Great Grandpa Bowen. He recently passed and when she says her prayers at night she asks Heavenly Father to please help him feel better. She doesn't quite understand that he is not sick anymore.
  • 9/21/11. Isaiah came home and said that he helped a little girl at school. All the other little girls had flowers at recess and no one would share them with her. So he went and picked her some flowers and gave them to her.
  • 9/22/11. He has a friend at school that he said doesn't have a lot of friends so he wanted to make sure to find a way to play with him when no one else would.
  • 9/21/11. Isaiah said he doesn't want me to have another baby because he isn't a fan of crying.
  • 10/5/11. Isaiah came home to tell me that someone at school broke their face. :)
  • 10/7/11. Listened quietly as London sang her song to herself that said, "I love my daddy, I love my mommy, I love my "little" brother (?), I love my dog, and I love me, myself." Loved that last part. I told her I hope she always feels that way. It's so important to love who you are and that is the heart of poor self esteem.
  • 11/1/11. Isaiah told us he loves himself because he is "careable." So cute.
  • 11/3/11. London told me I have ears like Tinkerbell. That they stick up:)
  • 11/3/11. Isaiah told me to stop being so dramatic (while he was crying about getting his nails clipped).
  • 12/8/11. I got upset with Isaiah for singing Jingle Bells too loud and he stops mid sentence and gives me the worst look and says, "Mom you are scrooge. You are going to be on the naughty list."
  • 1/3/12. I was telling London that it isn't nice to hit anyone and I asked her if she ever did and this was her response. London: "I don't hit anyone mommy, I promise. Only Isaiah."
  • 1/6/12. Isaiah. "Dad knows everything......(pause) except for somethings."
  • 1/9/12. I put London down for sleep and told her to think of one thing that makes her the happiest while she is falling asleep and she will have good dreams. Then I asked her what that one thing was and she said, "mommy." Talk about melt my heart. Almost teared up on that one. I was expecting her Ariel doll:)
