My own Mariachi

My little one is SO obsessed with music. He loves to play instraments and sing and dance. With his hispanic background, he has learned about Mariachi's and his great grandparents gave him his own guitar and sombrero. Here are a few pictures of him in action..

Too high of expectations ...

Geez... sorry to say our Anniversary definitely didn't go as planned. I had really high expectations and it did not go that way at all. Oh well, I suck it up and move on, I guess that is all we can really do in a situation like this. I feel bad and upset still --- but life will go on. I was great to see my little Isaiah and he always puts a huge smile on my face...

4 years!!

Well all I can say is how grateful I am that I have been married to Jake this long.. that we've been able to work through many many hard times and there were many times we didn't think we were going to make it. So I am thrilled when we have an anniversary. Today we were married 4 years ago in the Salt Lake City Temple. It was an amazing day. I put a slide show together to reminisce back to when we were young and in love and just engaged...

A Day in a Tree House

A few weeks back Jake and I decided to take Isaiah to a children's museum in Ogden area. It was such a fun place for kids but even for adults too (as you can see we had as much fun as Isaiah). It is one big tree house that you go in. You can tell we enjoyed it.

We spent Father's Day up at a very nice cabin in Heber City. We had a blast. It was gorgeous and nice to change the scenery for a weekend. We played games and went on walks and toasted marshmallows. Isaiah loved playing with his cousins. Hope we can do it again next year!

Officially for sale!

Okay to those of you who read this blog.. Some of you know this already and some of you don't. I am sad to say we are selling our home already after a year of being in it. We have felt we need to do this.. whether we really want to or not. We are going to sacrifice for a while and save some money so we can start investing our money and set us up for our future. If we don't do it now, we never will. This is not an easy thing for us to do, especially after we just really got acquainted with our ward. It makes me sad but I know we are doing what we are supposed to for our family. I love the people in my ward and hope I can keep close with them... We already have people coming through it tonight...

When It Rains, It Really Does Pour!

Well when I woke up this morning I had no idea that my day was going to turn to this... I got into work and they called us into a meeting. Come to find out, we were all laid off. I am in complete shock. This is a company I've worked for, for almost 6 years. They just look at you like another number... Immediately my eyes filled with tears for a million different reasons. I will miss the people I've worked with all this time. I love my supervisor and I love my co-workers. They paid me well for part time work and I could come in any hours that I wanted. I really couldn't beat that anywhere else. So in completely dismay, I am driving home (as if I was in a dream) and what wakes me up is cop lights behind me. I get pulled over for speeding and having a BARELY expired license. At this point, I just put my head on my wheel and let it out.. I was bawling to the cop. So anyway, I'm home just in shock.. not sure what to think. I guess I have to have the faith that it will all work out.. but for now I just want to sulk.
