Desperate!

Soo I know this is totally random but I'm SO annoyed. For any of you that watched The Real Housewives of Orange County.. are you not annoyed by Jo De La Rosa, aka Jo (and her sidekick Slade)? They are the definition of desperate. They are doing anything and EVERYTHING they can to gain fame. They are in the reality show Real Housewives, then she starts a music career (which I may say is comical), and now they are doing another reality dating show. I can't help but laugh the whole entire time it is on. Don't ask me why I even watch it.. probably because tv sucks right now and I need to put a smile on my face. They were way annoying as a couple, and even more annoying as individuals. They deserve each other! :) But on a positive note, she is really pretty... Am I such a brat?

One of my favorite things...

So I have a little clip of one of my favorite things... and that is watching my two kids interact and hearing them laugh.. it always brings a big smile to my face. I never grew up with my siblings since they were all way older than me.. so it is so fun for me to watch my two kids close in age play with one another. When Isaiah wakes up.. he looks for London and when she wakes up, she looks around for him. I love to watch him love her and to watch her eyes sparkle at him.. They have only had one "spat" since she was here. I am sure there are more to come:)

A little too much fun..

I enjoyed having some of my best friends together this weekend. My best friend Alexis was in town to bless her precious boy, Boston. When we all get together (with her sister and my other friend Jen.. same person) we can't help but completely act like fools.. like we never even matured over the years. Our teenagers inside of us comes right back out... even with the kids screaming in the background:) It got a little crazy... and we woke up Nixen (oops.. sorry jen). WARNING WE ARE COMPLETE DORKS

SHRINKING...

I am GOING to shrink starting today... not my height but my width... I AM GOING TO LOSE WEIGHT. There I SAID IT.

Tried something new:)

Okay, so I finally did something I've been wanting to do for a while, but have been too intimidated (yes I know -- all you crafty people out there don't understand this) but I am not crafty. It takes a lot of work and motivation on my end to even attempt it. So I made some bows and then I made a bow holder in London's room- so I can see what I have to match with each outfit.

This is a popular spot for us Martin's in Denver.. it is an old barbecue southern type restaurant. We met up with some of Jake's friends and had his family there. His friends are still dating and not married so they can't get over that "Martin" has two kids. Here are a few funny pictures of my fam... after they had the hot sauce on their ribs... they started sweating and looked like they were going to die! haha.

We were sitting out enjoying the sunset on the balcony overlooking Denver while "daddy" went golfing. Isaiah said, "Mom let's talk.... what is your favorite show to watch?" and it started a fun dialogue.

Enjoying Denver!

We have been in Denver this week.. and will be staying another 4 days. We've enjoyed ourselves. We will have tons of pictures but here is one so far..

Jake's work got all of the managers and their families out to the game.. we had a good time socializing.. here are a few pictures of my cute family.. I enjoy Jake's co-workers and their wives. We always have a good time with everyone..

Dance that stole the night..

LOVED LOVED LOVED the lyrical routine by Wade Robson (song.. "Slow dancing in a burning room." by John Mayer) danced by Katee and Joshua once again! They just show so much emotion through each movement. I could watch it over and over again! I am looking forward to tonight to find out who the winner is...

Oh and I loved Katee's individual routine by Imogen Heap.... but truth is, I love to watch all of them dance. They are all soo good.

Latest Mandy project (updated)..

So I have had this empty basement room and left a few toys down there and a old tv.. but it was a place Isaiah never really wanted to be. I felt like we were wasting so much space. So I woke up one day and I had an idea...I was going to change that boring cold room into a fun kids playroom- where kids actually want to hang out (away from us adults). I put in a costume corner.. where they can try on all different costumes and dress up as super hero's and then a crazy mirror next to it so they can see themselves, then a place to do activities, draw, paint, work on the tool shop, put together a train, and a race car track. Best part is that they can watch movies while attempting it all.. :) Hopefully it will keep him down there long periods of time!

Having Fun in the Sun...

We decided to go up and use my sister's pool today for the first time. This is the first time my family has gone swimming all summer. Isaiah is not the greatest in the water and I blame myself, I need to teach him and get him out more... So he was petrified at first but by the end of the time we were there, Debra made sure to dunk him... he was doing really well. So hopefully it helped! London was adorable and just laying out like she was 16 years old... She didn't make a peep the whole time we were there. We got into the water and she just relaxed in her float up princess boat...

She looks JUST LIKE ME in that last picture.. most of the time she looks like Jake and that is the first picture where I can definitely see myself..

Quite the romantic..

I think my dad will kill me if he found out I posted this on my blog.. but I found this sitting in my parents room. I can honestly say this is the first time I have seen anything like this between my parents... I am so glad they are in love after 30 years together. I am really lucky and it is so sweet to hear some of the things that my dad loves about dear old Karen:) They are good together.. definitely balance each other out. I guess true love can exist for that long!
