Four years ago today, our little Isaiah made his first appearance to this world. Last night I laid with him in his bed and talked to him about the night he decided to come out. His eyes lit up as I explained that he was so stubborn about coming out to a very cold place! He looked up at me and said, "Mom I was ready to come out, I promise!" Jake said, "Now knowing you buzzy, I have no doubt you were ready to come out."
As most of you know who read this, he is full of character. He has always been great at entertaining anyone who meets him. He is wise beyond his years.. says the most amazing things for a small child. He is a great big brother to Londy's.. She loves to wake up and look around for him. He brings so much love and warmth into our home.. If Jake and I are talking, and he is trying to tell us something, he will say, "PATIENCE, MOM. I am trying to talk." He teaches me so many new lessons everyday. I am grateful for this crazy wild child of mine.. I can't believe he is already 4 years old. Time flies...
Happy Birthday Buzzy Bear... We sure do love you!

Christmas with the Martin's

Okay to sum up our Christmas - it turned out great. It was nice to be with my family and play lots of games and laugh a ton. I basically had NO voice the whole time but at least London and I started feeling better. Jake and I were fortunate enough to actually give Christmas to another family. That was the most rewarding part of the whole season. It was so fun to watch their faces light up when we walked in with so many gifts all wrapped up. Then of course Christmas day is fun when your kids get excited about their toys from Santa.. Isaiah left out a note to Santa that he made me write.. it said that he wanted to leave cookies for not just Santa, but Frosty, Rudolph, Mrs Claus, and the elves. When I left the room and came back, he had stacked about 15 cookies on the plate. It was the cutest thing. Later that day, my family and I went to a homeless shelter and served them a good dinner and cleaned that up. It was a nice ending to the day.. and of course we played our Wii that night for a few hours! I'm grateful that we are all safe and everything was a success.. but I am also grateful for it to be over and to take down my decor and move on with my routine.. and drop these few added pounds:) Here are lots of pics...

Christmas excitement..

It is so funny each year I realize how frustrated I get at Christmas time. I know that sounds horrible but let me explain why... I just continue to watch people around this time and what this season brings... We sing these songs about Christmas and what it is about.. but it really just has been totally misconstrued. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE to watch my kids get excited and watch them enjoy everything that comes along with Christmas.. But it is just so hard to keep up. I go to the store and everyone is fighting for the last toy or just grouchy and anxiety stricken. As snow continues to fall, I just get sooo cold. It looks beautiful outside but I'd rather just look then be out in it or drive in it. And on top of it.. We've passed these viruses back and forth in this house THE WHOLE 2 months. And right before the actually 25th of December, London and I have NOOO voice. Like not even a whisper... So to try to parent or talk to Jake about stuff, is so frustrating!! ha ha. I just text him, even though he is sitting next to me. So some positive things... We have decided to give to a family in need this year. I am really excited about that. I am excited to take it to them tomorrow. I am excited for Isaiah to pick out a few things for the child we are buying for.. and I can't wait for him to really learn of what giving is and what Christmas really should be. I am excited to spend time with my family during this break, no doubt about that. I guess it is just all the shopping and getting more and more and more. That is the hard part about Christmas for me.. but it makes me really happy to watch Isaiah's sparkle in his eyes. He goes around singing, "this is going to be the best Christmas EVER!"

She's finally catching up!

My sweet baby girl.. she is so far behind in teething, rolling over, crawling, etc... But all of the sudden yesterday I realized I felt a tooth FINALLY popping through. Thank goodness because I really needed to know why she was screaming every night!! Now I know. Then the same day, she decided to roll over. Ya she doesn't like it, but she did it.

Good news AND Santa's lap..

Yesterday I took Isaiah and London to go see Santa for the first time this year! Okay I was expecting my "shy" child to scream her head off and for Isaiah to talk Santa's ears off with ALL the things he wanted. Let's just say it didn't plan out like I thought. London sat on his lap and looked at him like who the heck are you? And then Isaiah hid and didn't want to go sit on him because he was scared... And why didn't anyone tell me it was like $50 for a package to get pictures with Santa? ha ha. Amanda met me with her little Daxton.. we got some cute pictures.. AND THE GOOD NEWS IS THIS... we are in the process of closing on a new home!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it and I am so excited for it.. we will probably be moving the 2nd week of January. If it wasn't for Jake getting all these outstanding performance evaluations.. we would still be in a little one bedroom apartment! And would you guys believe me if I told you that my NIECE was getting married today? I am only 27!! She is absolutely going to be a beautiful bride.. anyway I better get ready for the luncheon! I'm OUT...:)
