Sad sad sad...

I swear I have had two of the saddest funerals in one week.. so not fair! Yesterday we went to my husbands Mission President's funeral. We were lucky to see him one last time a few weeks ago when we decided to attend the missionary reunion that was held. Jake was able to give him a letter from his heart that night and we were able to hug both he and his wife and they were able to see our newest member of our family. That is one tender mercy from our Heavenly Father that we had gone to that. A few weeks later, he passed away at the young age of 57. One thing that comforted Jake and I was that if ANYONE was ready to go, it would be him. He lived an amazing life. I am glad I was able to attend his funeral and to listen to the family talk about him. His wife said, "you just can only put one foot in front of the other..." and I think that is something I will remember and try to use in my life when I am in a hard place or time in my life..
