save green = happy me

So I have decided to put some time into couponing like I did before. So tonight was my first little shop. Got this all for less than $20.00. It's not as good as I could usually do, but I was at least excited to see the rewards from actually taking the time to coupon.. (hell, I never thought 10 years ago I would be making bows or ever be into COUPONING! wow, I live in Utah for sure huh?) Don't judge me:)

Fly

I thought this was the one of the cutest moments. I heard London and Isaiah playing and all of the sudden they both flew in and just stood and stared at Jake and I. Isaiah put his buzz light year wings on London so she didn't feel left out.. Love these two, way too much!

I'm dreaming of warm summer nights...

I am looking at these pictures and closing my eyes and wishing I was either in the 80 degree weather, or at Vegas like in the pictures below. That's all I can do to keep sane right now. I am thinking I am moving away for the winter next year...

Ringing it on in..

2009 was definitely a trying year for me. As a lot of you know a few of the trials I have faced.. so I am really looking forward to a new year. I feel like I can take a deep breath of new refreshed air and look beyond the trials to see solutions, hope, happiness, and contentment. As cliche as that sounds, I really learned how all of those different components are what make up a successful enjoyable life. Who really wants to learn the hard way anyway, right?
The following are pictures of celebration to ending persistent challenges and to many new beginnings. I'm grateful for amazing and supportive people in my life and two little mini me's running around my house creating pure chaos... CHEERS!
P.S I AM NOT ON PRIVATE ANYMORE, if anyone wants to change that on their own blogs (if you haven't already noticed). I guess you can say I'm being brave:) It's just a test.. this could change again shortly. Sorry for my erraticsness...he.

Bottomless birthday

So my son turned 5 years old on December 29th. We celebrated Isaiah two different nights! He has SO many people that love him and want to be apart of his life. He walked downstairs the morning of his birthday and asked if he looked 5 years old now.. He said he expected to wake up a lot bigger.. :)
These past 5 years he has done the following:

  • Taught himself how to put in DVD's and press play.
  • Memorized and sung all of mommy's adult hit songs.
  • Gave his last bit of change to a homeless guy on the side of the street.
  • Became more and more picky.. I thought this was supposed to do the opposite?
  • Share.
  • Talk back like a teenager already.
  • Tie his shoes in 50 tight knots.
  • Get his sister out of her crib in the morning without hurting her or waking up mommy:)
  • Makes his own peanut butter & jelly sandwiches.
  • Negotiate.
  • Doesn't HAVE to sleep with his "mimi" (his blanket) anymore.
  • Takes care of his mommy when she is sad by going and getting her ice water and a cracker.
  • Random kisses.
  • Takes care of London and her baby dolls.

I am so proud of this little guy. It seems like yesterday I was just barely giving birth to him.. He is the best brother, son, grandson, cousin, nephew, and friend. He is so sensitive and really compassionate. I'm lucky to be his mom.

Pine cones & holly berries.

We had a crazy Christmas.. as usual with celebrating the holidays with each side of the family. With my family we had to get $2 gifts from D.I. for whomever we picked out of a bowl. These first few pictures are what my mom got, as well as Talyn with the gift of the night, her own Aunt Jemima doll. :) he he. By her face, you can tell how excited she was.

And last but not least.. Isaiah always entertaining us with his songs... (what 4 year old sings George Michael songs?)
