Something To Talk About: 6 big years.

Isaiah words..

"Mom, I will do the dishes and everything else today so you can do nothing and just sit and relax."

"Turn down the radio mom.. London doesn't like it loud and I am thinking about her and how she feels."

"Making new friends" when asked what his favorite thing about life is.

"Dad, remember? It's all about the Buzzy's?"

"Dad, the guys are here to fix the crickets." (meaning creeks in our floor).

"Have you ever kissed a boy with yiiiiiiiipstick on?"

"Everyone be quiet, I'm calling my shoe."

"Here is the deal. Number one, you wipe me. Number two, you don't wipe me. Now which is it going to be?"

"Mom, I just want EVERYTHING and then that's all."

"Jesus will get mad at you for acting that way. He won't give you presents."

Me: "Isaiah, your feet are really growing."
Isaiah: "THANKS."

"Mommy, you are my sweetheart."

"You're a joke."

"When I look at London, I just want to eat her face because she is so cute." (I wonder where he got that one??)

"TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND RELAX Mom.."

"You make my heart feel good."

"Mom, you are my best friend in the whole city."

"We need to buy more money."

"Mommy, are you going to have another baby? Your tummy looks big again."

"Mommy, I thought we were best friends?"

"I don't want you to be my parent anymore!"

"Thank you for building me."

6 big years.

Six whole years ago, I gave birth to my first baby boy. I went into labor on Christmas day and he didn't want to arrive until 4-5 days later. He was a stubborn little guy. Even after I was given pitocin, he still had to be c sectioned out and yes he had a very large coney head :) We named him Isaiah Alexander Martin and somehow someway we started calling him Buzzy and it's been stuck ever since. If anyone knows Isaiah, they know he is an old soul in a young body. He teaches me so many things. I can always count on Isaiah to keep me on my toes and entertained. He is a very attentive big brother to London and I know that as they grow together, I can always count on him protecting her through what they go through. He is the child that is everybody's friend and he always wakes up with a smile on his face because he loves life. He honestly lights up my life and although he may be hard at times, I know he will be a great leader and will always love me. I'm lucky to raise this special and unique child and I hope I can be the mommy he needs through the years.
